at the end of the march there were a million cops, and a giant loudspeaker saying "the march is over. please clear the area. allow others to finish the march as you have done." later in the day some (many) people clashed with the cops, and it pisses me off because i think people on BOTH sides asked for it. the cops/city should of issued a rally permit for the end of the march. the right to congregate is inaliable in this country and is as important symbolically as it is mechanically. to impede it is contemptable. but on the other hand there were (and always are) a contingent of 'radical' smash-the-state and/or fuck-shit-up zipperheads who were (and are) only too happy to lock horns with the fuzz. oy. back to the front.
