Gmail, Google's new(ish) web-based e-mail service is great. I have it set up to recieve all email that goes to anything ending in "@dirtdirt.com". It has greatly decreased my frustration level with e-mail, and the filtering system is top notch. I really love it. If you want an account and for some reason have yet to get ahold of one let me know and I'll happily hook you up.

The point of this brief post, however, is not to extoll the virtues of Gmail (although the virtues are many). No, the point of this brief post is to say "Holy moly, I sure get a lot of Junk Email."

Note to self: Invent a time machine (um, does talking about that sort of time machine on this sort of Time Machine screw things up? Ah, well.) and go back in time and strip out all publicly visible occurances of all email addresses ending with "@dirtdirt.com" anywhere on the world wide hookydooky.

Here is another screenshot taken roughly five minutes, the time it took me to write this post, after the first. Holy moly. AND Gmail automagically deletes all junk mail over 30 days old. Pow! That's a lot of junk mail.
